Regional tour
Between March 26 and April 6, the Patti the Pig: It’s Not All Rubbish kids show toured the City of Karratha and Town of Port Hedland, thanks to a grant from the Waste Authority of Western Australia.
This 22-show regional tour encompassed primary schools, childcare centres, libraries and shopping centres, teaching kids all about recycling, and how to divert waste from landfill (including composting, using less single use plastic and re-using items).
Schools in Karratha received a “Plastic Free Lunchbox chart”, and childcare centres received a “My Sustainability Actions Chart” to track their good waste and environmental habits.
